Natalie Berania is American River College's triple Scholar Athlete.  She has received the honor over the past three consecutive semesters for keeping her grade point average above a 3.0, in each season of both Cross Country and Track and Field. 

After being heavily sought by more than ten other colleges, she signed her letter of intent with Southern Oregon University.  When asked why she selected SOU, she stated, "I'm looking forward to the small town, friendly environment and sense of belonging". 

An avid leader, her team voted her in as team captain for both Cross Country and Track and Field.  Coach Powless says, "She made significant contributions both athletically and academically to leading our squads.  She will be missed here next fall, but we are still looking forward to a great spring track season.  Southern Oregon is very fortunate to have her on their squad".
