Santa Rosa Community College's home course, of Spring Lake Park, made for some great marks and significant improvements from the lady beavers over the 5K Cross Country Course.

The lady beavers had a team goal to slice their team gap, from their first to fifth runner, from almost five minutes down to three.  They teamed up with each other, while working on pacing, and brought their team spread down to an amazing 1:52.

Most improved went to Ashley Albor who took 1:31 off her previous season best.  Tena Fletcher also sliced 1:18 off her lifetime best, Jaclyn Leduc cut off 44 seconds and Aubrei Stahl improved by 21 seconds.

Without their full squad, the beavers ended up third.  "They are now stronger as a squad and ready to race in Golden Gate Park next week.  They are really improving and running like a newly united and more improved squad in just three short weeks," says Coach Powless.

Based on the current NorCal rankings the lady beavers are now ranked first in their Big 8 Conference.

Next up for the squad will be the Lou Vasquez Invitational in San Francisco on Thurs. Sept. 18th.
