The American River College men’s cross country teams seems to be peaking at just the right time again. The Beavers, who placed their top 6 in the top 13 places at the Crystal Springs Invitational on the NorCal course back on September 26th, topped that performance by placing 6 in the top 8 at the NorCal Championships Saturday.
Big 8 Conference Championships

Granite Regional Park, Sacramento The Beavers dominated the competition at the 2014 Big 8 Conference for the 9th straight season capturing the title by taking 12 of the top 14 places. Twelve Beavers earned All-Conference honors – a record for the ARC men.
Santa Clara Bronco Invitational

Baylands Park, Santa Clara The Beavers ran split squads for the Bronco Invitational again for 2014. In the Invitational, section the Beavers ran their top 10 athletes of their 19-man squad.

West Valley HS, Cottonwood The American River College men’s cross country team captured 12 of the top 14 places at the Jim Middleton Invitational held Friday, October 10 at West Valley HS in Cottonwood, CA.
NorCal Preview at Crystal Springs

The #1 NorCal and #3 State ranked American River College men’s cross country team won the 2014 NorCal Preview held at Crystal Springs Cross Country course in San Mateo. The Beavers grabbed 12 of the top 27 places of the 129 runner field.
SoCal Preview

Woodley Pak, Sherman Oaks The “A” team went against the best teams in Southern California, taking third behind Mt SAC and College of the Canyons. The Beavers, ranked #1 in NorCal and #4 in the State, placed 7 runners in the top 23 of the 195-man field.
Lou Vasquez Invitational

Golden Gate Park, San Francisco The men’s team split squads for the Lou Vasquez Invitational and the SoCal Preview last week. The “B” team ran at the Lou Vasquez Invitational on Thursday and placed 2nd out of 10 teams.

Woodward Park, Fresno The 3-time defending California State champions ran well enough on the state championships course for 3rd place out of the 19 teams competing.
