Alex Gaskin (Jesuit), the Beavers 2nd-team All-BIG 8 Conference right fielder in 2015 has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play at Cal Poly Pomona in 2016.

All-Northern California player and 1st team All-BIG 8 Conference DH Dalton deVries (Oakmont) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with Abilene Christian University, a Division 1 school in the Southland Conference in Abilene, Texas it was announced Thursday by Head Coach Doug Jumelet. deVries will join 3B and fellow Oakmont High graduate Austin Call in Abilene this fall, as Call signed with the Wildcats in May.
Mercado signs with Highlanders

2015 1st-team All-BIG 8 Conference infielder Steve Mercado (Antelope) has signed a National Letter Of Intent (NLI) to play at UC Riverside next season, Head Coach Doug Jumelet announced on Thursday. Mercado earned the respect of the other BIG 8 coaches through his tenacious style of play which saw him make just 5 errors and record one of the best fielding percentages ever by a Beaver.
Boitano signs with Providence College

American River College sophomore 1B/OF James Boitano (Argonaut) accepted a scholarship to attend school and play baseball at Providence Christian College in Pasadena, CA it was announced on Monday. Providence is led by head coach Mike Scolinos, who has been a successful head coach for many years and is the son of legendary NCAA Hall of Fame baseball coach John Scolinos from Cal Poly Pomona. Coach Scolinos has coached at the JC level, Division 1 and 2, and the NAIA level as well.

American River College sophomore Austin Call (Oakmont) has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play baseball at Division 1 Abilene Christian University in Texas. Call played 3B for the Beavers for the past two years after graduating from Oakmont High School.

The 2015 American River College Baseball regular season came to a close on Friday with the Beavers winning a wild 14 inning game 9-8 on a walk-off wild pitch. The first inning started off rough for the Beavers as freshman LHP Mikey Ramirez (Del Campo) struggled through the first, allowing three runs, all after there were two outs and nobody on.

The Beavers found a way however, with a little help from Santa Rosa’s defense to put up a 3-1 victory in their throwback royal blue uniforms on Saturday.
